Lizardo

Lizardo is my mean green iguana. He's about 3 years old.
The name's not too original, but I guess that's what happens when you take
your time and try to find the perfect name. (I tried so
hard that the temporary name stuck.)
 
 
 
 
Lizardo's been through a lot. Soon after buying him, a
friend and I were trying to catch him in his cage. As my friend tried to grab him, Lizardo made
a narrow escape by dropping his tail. I use the word "drop" because it's not as gruesome as
"sever." However, I think sever is more descriptive of what happened. Blood was all over the
side of the cage, and the broken-off piece wouldn't stop jerking. It was so gross. We ran out of
the apartment and chunked it into the parking lot. His tail grew back slowly. It looked like a black
rubber stump was oozing out of what was left of his tail. Now it's fully functional, as he
frequently tries to hit me with it.
