This band was formerly
named Red Dye
Nine. The Vickers
have a new name and a new CD. This alternative
band started playing together in Alabama, but
now they are located in San Diego.
The band's smooth and
relaxing style invites the listener to "let
yourself go...," and truly does make everything
alright.
Probably the best song
on the CD is
"Modern
Front." It laments
with the everyday treadmill of life, "same old
day again, same old day...," but its upbeat
rhythm bids the listener to sing and dance
along.
My favorite song on the
album has to be
"Maria
Sings." This
emotional, sometimes dreamy, piece, is one song
where the band is really in-sync with each
other.
